Test trading opportunities for start-up and new businesses

We are offering test trading opportunities at the Kennedy Centre to business-owners receiving support through our business start-up programmes. The opportunity allows maximum of 30 business owners to test trade up to five times on dates between 21 October 2024 and 31 March 2025. There are no test trading spaces available during December. It is free to register your interest and gain access to this test trading opportunity.

Benefits of test trading for your business

Before you start testing your trade, you can complete our branding and marketing masterclass.

During your test trading, you will:

• trial your products in a busy shopping centre;
• gain feedback from customers and visitors;
• help refine your sales and marketing approach;
• reach a broad audience;
• gain peer support; and
• gain exposure to Kennedy Centre's weekly footfall of over 70,000.

Trading spaces are subject to availability as allocated by the centre manager. Preference for space allocation will be given to paying tenants.

Eligibility for test trading spaces

To express an interest, you must:

• be a current or past participant of Belfast City Council's business support programmes, including Go Succeed;
• be a Belfast-based business;
• have been in business for less than two years; and
• not currently have a trading premises or trading space for your business.

Successful applicants automatically sign up to the rules and regulations of trading at the Kennedy Centre. We will provide details of these once your application has been approved.
