Date: Saturday 14 September, 10am to 3pm
Join us on a very special European Heritage Open Day at Belfast Castle with lots of activities, as we take part in Northern Ireland's annual celebration of local architecture, history and culture.
Our programme of events to celebrate heritage, culture and art include:
- An opportunity to take a self-guided walk inside Belfast Castle, as we open our ground and first floors, along with the famous internal wooden Spiral Staircase. This is your chance to see our first-floor rooms and step into the famous spiral staircase; two parts of the castle that are mainly closed to the public all year round.
- Lady Shaftesbury’s Whirlwind Belfast Castle Tour: where History meets Comedy. You need a ticket for this event. Tickets are available now.
- A very special Tin Snails’ Classic Car Display in the main car park.
- Pen drawing workshop with Laura McKenzie from 11am to 2pm.
- Cavehill Conservation Campaign outdoor talks at the Millenium Maze Garden. Read more about the event.
Our Tavern Coffee Shop will be serving an EHOD special - £4.50 for a tea or coffee and a homemade scone of your choice, with cream, jam and butter (available between 10am and 3pm).
Our Cellar Restaurant is open from 12 noon. For menus and table bookings, go to Cellar Restaurant.
Check our social media for more information. We'll see you in September. #EHOD2024 #LoveHeritageNI
