A hopping good time for all the family
We have special free activities planned for Easter Monday on 21 April and Easter Tuesday on 22 April from 11am to 4pm. Book your tickets online and celebrate Easter at the zoo.
Meet and greet with the Easter Bunny and Peter Rabbit
Look out for our walkabout characters as they make surprise appearances around the zoo. Whether it’s posing for a photo, giving them a high-five, or having a cuddle, it will add a little Easter magic to your day.
Free face-painting and Easter crafting
Transform into your favourite animal or an Easter bunny with free face-painting at the café. Children can also take part in Easter-themed crafts, by decorating their own bunny ears and making colourful springtime creations.
Find the clues on our Easter trail
On the trail, little explorers can search for clues hidden around the zoo. They could win a prize if they solve the mystery.
Get hands-on at our touch tables
Visit our touch tables at the Reptile House for a unique, hands-on experience where you can touch, feel and learn about fascinating animal artefacts - from snake skins to skulls. This interactive station is run by our Friends of the Zoo volunteers. A perfect stop for curious minds of all ages. From Saturday 19 April to Tuesday 22 April, from 11am to 2pm each day.

Spring is one of the best times to visit the zoo as many of our animals are very active. Meet our newest arrivals, watch animal feeding times and discover the wildlife that lives in Belfast Zoo.
Parking and shuttle service
Belfast Zoo's car park fills up very quickly at Easter. To make your visit easier, we’re providing free parking at Valley Centre and an accessible shuttle service to the zoo. The free shuttle service runs from Valley Centre to the zoo car park between 11am and 6pm.
Priority access for members and visitors with accessibility needs
We want all visitors to have a comfortable experience. We offer early access between 9.30am and 10am exclusively for:
- zoo members
- visitors with accessibility needs
It is a good way to enjoy the zoo at a quieter time before the main crowds arrive.

During a fun-filled day at the zoo, you can buy some tasty treats at:
- Tree Tops Café serving hot meals, snacks and drinks to keep you going

The zoo is open 10am to 6pm daily over Easter. Last admission is at 4.30pm.
During Easter at the zoo, visitors may experience longer queuing times at the zoo entrance, café, face-painting and gift shop. We appreciate your patience and remind visitors to respect queuing systems
