Book your place for a guided walk and learn to identify resident and migrant bird call in Belfast parks.
Join bird expert Dot Blakely on a relaxing and informative two-hour guided walk. Listen and identify some common bird songs on a mindful meander through our beautiful green city spaces.
Immerse yourself in the natural world and discover different types of plants and animals in their habitats.
For the walk, you'll need:
- suitable clothing for outdoors, for example sturdy footwear, waterproofs, hat, scarf and gloves
- a camera
You should also bring binoculars but some will be available to borrow for the walk. We'll provide light refreshments after the walk. You can also bring a picnic.

- Monday 12 May from 10.30am to 12.30pm in Lagan Meadows; meet at front of The Lock Keeper's Cottage
- Monday 19 May from 4.30pm to 6.30pm in Barnett Demesne; meet at front of Malone House
- Monday 2 June from 10.30am to 12.30pm in Botanic Gardens; meet at front of the Palm House
- Monday 9 June from 10.30am to 12.30pm in Lagan Meadows; meet at front of Mary Peters Track
- Monday 16 June from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park; meet at front of The Stables coffee shop
