Volunteer Friday: Himalayan balsam bashing

Volunteer and help us remove Himalayan balsam from the green space around the Mary Peters Track.

Himalayan balsam is a non-native plant species. Volunteer in this Belfast green space and help hand-pull this invasive plant before it sets seed.

If you want to volunteer, you should wear:

• trousers
• long-sleeved clothes
• gloves and
• shoes suitable for wet, uneven ground.

The volunteer mornings are on:

• Friday 16 May, 10.30am to 1pm
• Friday 23 May, 10.30am to 1pm
• Froday 30 May, 10am to 1.30pm
• Friday 6 June, 10am to 1.30pm
• Friday 13 June, 10am to 1.30pm
• Friday 20 June, 10am to 1.30pm
• Friday 27 June, 10am to 1.30pm

We'll meet in the lower car park at the Mary Peters Track. There will be light refreshments after the morning's work.
