Does your tourism business want to give all visitors the best possible experience?

This short, practical masterclass will help you communicate more confidently with visitors who have a vision impairment.

Using unique technology provided by Empatheyes, you will see through someone else's eyes and understand what it’s like to experience life as someone who is visually impaired. Empatheyes is the first social enterprise of its kind to offer immersive virtual reality technology for live, virtual visual impairment awareness training courses.

You will also meet people with vision impairment and have the opportunity to ask questions, practise sighted guiding and get practical insight from people with lived experience of vision impairment.

Finally, you will hear from the Lyric Theatre and how it has developed access for people with visual impairments using the MobileConnect app.

This masterclass is delivered by Open Arts in partnership with Empatheyes for Belfast City Council and the inclusive tourism working group.

You can find more information on getting to and getting around the Lyric in its access guide (link opens in new window)
