As part of our work to promote sport and healthy lifestyles, we run two dedicated running events for Belfast primary schools.
This annual event for P6 and P7 pupils will next take place in spring 2025.
There are four local heats, held at parks throughout Belfast, which primary schools can enter.
A finals event is then held at Mallusk Playing Fields, with prizes awarded for the winning individual girls and boys, as well as teams.
This annual event last took place on 15 October 2024.
Pupils from schools across Belfast participated in the relay race, at Victoria Park, with prizes awarded for the winning teams in both the boys and girls’ races.
