Burials and cremations

Some restrictions applied to burial and cremation services over the Easter holiday period.

• On Easter Monday (21 April 2025), there were no burials or cremations.
• On Easter Tuesday (22 April 2025), burials took place early in the day. Cremations took place from 7.20am to 11.20am.

Our imported food team for servicing trade arriving from GB ports was operating as normal (24 hours a day) throughout the bank holiday period.

For imported food checks on container freight from rest of world, and for shipping or other port health queries, our service was closed on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 April 2025.

All charged car parks (except Corporation Square, Corporation Street and Smithfield) are open and free to use outside of charged hours.

Smithfield Market was closed on Easter Monday (21 April 2025). It was open as normal on all other dates.
