8. Consultation
Belfast City Council is committed to consultation which is timely, open and inclusive and conducted in accordance with the Equality Commission’s Guiding Principles.
This public consultation will run for 13 weeks from 19 November 2024 to 23 February 2025.
All Equality Scheme consultees will be notified of the availability of this EQIA report and invited to comment.
A press release will be prepared and issued to various media outlets to make the public aware of the EQIA.
An advertisement will be placed in Belfast Telegraph, Irish News, Newsletter, Andersonstown New, North Belfast News, South Belfast News and Shankill Mirror.
Information about the EQIA will be placed on Belfast City Council’s website and Your Say Belfast consultation hub (link opens in new window) and through other appropriate social media channels.

You can ask for printed copies of the consultation documents, and we will try to make them available in other formats or languages if you need them. The council’s contact details are below.
Comments will be welcomed from any individual with an interest in the proposals, in whatever format is chosen.
