Are you a tourism business that is missing out on disabled visitors?

One in four people in Northern Ireland are disabled. Across the UK, this market is valued at £249 billion. But three out of four disabled people have walked away from businesses because they are not accessible.

During this short, interactive workshop, you will:

  • get to know our team of disabled people, who have a wealth of disabilities and travel experiences;
  • understand the language of disability and how to use it without fear or embarrassment;
  • gain top tips and hints for planning, marketing, informing and welcoming disabled visitors; and
  • get to ask questions you’ve been too shy to ask or test new products, services or ideas.

The workshop will be followed by a 30-minute talk and tour by the Crescent Arts Centre, who will share their journey to becoming an inclusive venue.

This is the first in a series of workshops exploring communication with disabled tourists. Look out for more in early 2025.

You can find more information on getting to and getting around the Crescent in its access guide (link opens in new window).

Numbers are limited. To book, go to Eventbrite or call 028 9024 0765 by Tuesday 12 November.
