Date: Saturday 6 July, 2pm to 4pm

Venue: Falls Park (event space)

Category: Community, Free, Park

""

Young people are invited to come along to the event space in Falls Park to take part in interactive sessions and get advice on keeping safe, organised with local youth providers and other community partners.

Call in to chat with representatives from several organisations, including;

  • our parks and safer neighbourhood officers
  • local PSNI officers
  • Education Authority youth services team
  • Youth Justice Agency
  • Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service
  • Translink

As well as information stalls, the event will highlight a range of issues, including:

  • the safety of women and girls (Education Authority)
  • violence and its consequences (Youth Justice Agency)
  • drug and alcohol awareness and how to reduce harm (Lisburn YMCA)
  • Belfast as a compassionate city (Belfast City Council)

This is a chance for young people to tell us what you’d like to see in Falls Park, how you would like to use it and how we can make sure the park is safe for everyone to use.

It is also an opportunity to raise awareness of personal safety, chat about potentially harmful situations and make sure young people have an understanding of the consequences of anti-social behaviour and criminal activity.

We've organised this event on behalf of the West Belfast District Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP).
