Grants and funding
We're committed to supporting cultural, arts and heritage organisations and activities in the city. This includes a number of funding programmes.
Applying is easy and we’re here to help
We issue small grants twice a year in the spring and autumn, while Core Multi-Annual Funding is open to applicants every four years. You can contact us anytime throughout the year to discuss the grants and find out more about eligibility and the application process. We also run larger funding clinics periodically to make sure everyone has the information they need.
Keep an eye on our grants and funding page, social media and the local press to find out when funding is open for new applicants. You will also need to register to apply for funding.
We have created a handy guide on cultural funding available from us. We hope this will inspire eligible groups to apply for our funding in the future.
We administer three culture, arts and heritage grants:
Core Multi-Annual Funding (CMAF) supports the core activities of arts and heritage organisations that meet the strategic objectives of the Cultural Framework.
Arts and heritage small grants aim to celebrate Belfast’s distinct culture, history and legacy.
The Community Festivals Fund, in partnership with Department for Communities, makes an important contribution to the people living in that community. They bring people together and enrich people’s lives through memorable shared experiences.
