Young people from across Belfast are learning creative IT skills such as animation, coding and design at exciting projects in our Community Centres. Get in touch with your nearest centre for more information.

CoderDojo

Our CoderDojo Saturday Club gives young enthusiasts 8-15 years old the opportunity to learn to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment. You must book your place. CoderDojo Saturday Clubs are happening at:

Learn how to save time by using the councils online services such as reporting a missed bin collection or applying for a new dog license.

Universal Credit online training sessions

If you need help setting up your email account and Universal Credit account you can book a Universal Credit online training session at a Belfast City Council Community Centre by calling 9027 0644.

Staff cannot input your personal details for you but they can talk you through the entire process. Some Advice Centres, libraries or your local jobs and benefits office have computers or devices that you can use or book to use with internet access.

Fix IT surgeries

Book your computer in for an free MOT. Our IT experts can make minor repairs to hardware and software and will get your device up and running again. So, if you are having IT issues bring it along and we will make sure that your laptop , tablet or phone is running safely.

Our digital Hubs are celebrating the Belfast Festival of Learning 2019 you can visit the following hubs to try something new. There is something for all capabilities whether its shopping online or save money by learning the tricks to giving your device an MOT or get your device fixed for free! For the more creative individuals you can try 3D printing or learn the basics of iMac. So  come along and try something new.

Outreach IT hub

We travel across the city with our outreach hub to Wi-Fi enabled venues so we can deliver a course or taster session when requested.

Digital Film Archive

You can now explore hundreds of old film footage of Northern Ireland dating back to 1897 with Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive by booking it as part of our outreach IT hub through your local community centre.
