Our Youth Initiatives provide young people with the support required to help them be better prepared for the world of work, and develop the skills needed to help them form a career pathway.
The Belfast Youth Support Programme provides 14 to 24 year olds with mentoring, support and opportunities to motivate and inspire each person to achieve their goals.
Throughout the programme, each young person will receive learner-centred mentoring that will encourage high aspirations, and provide them with opportunities to realise their potential and achieve success.
Our Career Development Programme (CDP)is designed to to help ensure that pupils in post-primary school are more effectively positioned to make informed choices about their future career.
The programme will provide the revision and study skills support necessary in Maths, English or both to help young people improve their exam skills and techniques and achieve Grade C or above in their GCSEs.
If you’re a post-primary student or teacher, a parent, or you work with young people in Belfast, you can now register for the free online service, Belfast Skillsumo.
This programme provides year 13 students (or equivalent), living in Belfast or attending school or learning centres in Belfast, with an opportunity to carry out a structured week of work experience with leading employers.
The Supporting Youth Programme 2 gives young people aged 15 - 17 the opportunity to develop and design their own programme with employers.
