Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme
About the scheme
If you run a small or medium-sized organisation and would benefit from having a faster broadband connection to meet tomorrow’s business needs, then the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme (GBVS) can help you.
Following the launch of the UK Government’s nationwide £67m GBVS earlier this year, we are working with both businesses and homes, across the city, to ensure that they can enjoy the fastest and most reliable speeds available.
Gigabit vouchers can be used by small businesses and the local communities surrounding them to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit-capable connection.
Your business can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of connection, either individually, or as part of a group project. You can also boost your voucher value by joining together with other businesses and residents in your area. Residents can claim for a voucher of up to a value of £500, as part of a group project.
One gigabit is the same as 1,000 megabits – so it’s a big leap forward in connection speeds that could benefit you and your business into the future.
How to apply?
The scheme is only accessible through broadband service providers, so if you are interested in receiving a voucher:
1. Check whether there are suppliers in your area
2. Check whether you are eligible for a voucher
